George Chait began working in homebuilding in the mid-1970's in association with some of the area's most respected old-time carpenters. He learned tried and true building techniques from these skilled, thoughtful craftsmen. George Chait Construction was founded in 1984. George grew up in an artistic family. He attended The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and developed an overall appreciation for quality design. George has lived in the Lake Sunapee area all his adult life, is an avid gardener, expert cook, devoted husband and loving father to his two daughters.
Bruce Sanborn was raised in the New London area where his ancestors go back generations. After graduating from the New Hampshire Technical School system, he spent eleven years in California where he began his career in construction with an emphasis on custom cabinetry and finish carpentry. In 1989 he relocated back to NH and started Burpee Hill Cabinets on property owned by his grandparents since 1934. There he honed his skills, soon becoming the area's premier custom cabinet maker where attention to detail, design and customer satisfaction were of the utmost importance. He raised two wonderful kids, enjoys working around the house and has a variety of other hobbies and interests.
